avast! 是捷克一家軟體公司（ALWIL Software）的產品。ALWIL軟體公司的研發機構在捷克的首都 - 布拉格，現在他們和世界上許多國家的安全軟體機構都有良好的合作關係。早在 80 年代末 ALWIL 公司的安全軟體已經獲得良好的市場佔有率，但當時僅限於捷克地區。
